WORLDS FIRST NATURE RESERVE JOINS HERITAGE LIST

We’re in the national news! A hugely exciting and significant day in the history of the village of Walton and Waterton Park. The hotel estate, which was created by Charles Waterton in the 19th century has been added to Historic England‘s protected portfolio of park and gardens registered at Grade II, along with its unique 3 mile long boundary wall.

The announcement, will provide the estate with greater protection and recognition. This will obviously benefit the hotel, the village, and promote the extraordinary story and legacy of Charles Waterton. Exciting times lie ahead!
