Step back to May 1827 and join celebrated naturalist Charles Waterton as he marks the completion of the extraordinary nine-foot-high wall encircling his estate. A visionary sanctuary created to protect the wildlife within.

But as the evening unfolds, an unexpected mystery arises. Why have one hundred strangers appeared in his dining room? Are they eager to uncover the secrets of taxidermy? Or perhaps to hear captivating tales of adventure from the depths of the South American jungle?

Join a somewhat bewildered Charles Waterton as he recounts stories from his remarkable life, shares his passion for conservation, and reflects on the future…plus the enduring legacy of his famous wall.
