The estate boasts a rich history, being the former home of renowned naturalist and conservation pioneer, Charles Waterton. By constructing a wall around his grounds, Waterton effectively created the world’s first nature reserve.

Walton Hall is a gracious Georgian mansion on an island surrounded by its own lake. It hosts excellent private dining and conference rooms.  However, the jewel in the crown is the newly opened Bazaar Spa.

Boasting pool and thermal facilities at lake level, along with treatment rooms and spa dining facility, Bazaar Spa offers the perfect retreat to relax and re-energise. There is also a fully equipped gym if a workout is required.

Waterton Park Hotel is a modern purpose built hotel on the mainland with extensive conference and banqueting facilities. The newly opened Grand Cafe’ offers fabulous dining throughout the day and evening.

We have 63 wonderfully appointed bedrooms most with stunning views over the surrounding lake, woodland or golf course. 22 bedrooms are situated on the island in Walton Hall and 41 bedrooms on the main land in Waterton Park Hotel.
