Hotels booking terms and conditions
The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all bookings made with Waterton Park Hotel whether at www.watertonparkhotel.co.uk or with the hotel directly.
Waterton Park Hotel reserves the right to increase or decrease the price of unsold rooms at any time. The price of your room will be confirmed when your booking is made and, with the exception of any errors, we will not change this price once it has been confirmed.
We reserve the right to correct any errors in advertised and confirmed prices and will do so as soon as we become aware of an error. We will notify you of any price discrepancies relating to your booking should they arise. We strongly advise you to check that the final price of your booking is correct before making your final confirmation. Should you take advantage of a pricing error on our website or any external booking site we will notify you as soon as it is brought to our attention. In the event of an unlikely situation of this kind, it would be necessary to cancel your booking and refund any monies paid.
Please note if you are booking online the price currently being offered cannot be guaranteed should you not complete your booking at this stage.
Our rooms are located in both Walton Hall on the island and the Waterton Park building on the mainland. All are rooms are allocated at the time of booking to one of these buildings, subject to the availability. If you would like to request a particular building we suggest you contact the hotel prior to booking to check the availability.
If you are looking to stay with us and you are a wedding party getting married elsewhere, please call our reservations team direct as further terms and conditions apply.
Advance purchase rates
Our Advance Purchase rates are available to book 21 days or more before the date of arrival and are fully pre-paid at the time of booking. Advance Purchase Rates are fully non-refundable and non-transferable once booked should they be cancelled for any reason
Best flexible rates
In general our Best Flexible Rates are available to book up to and including the day of arrival. These rates require a valid credit or debit card at the time of booking. You may cancel or amend Best Flexible Rates until 12.00 noon 48 hours prior to arrival without any further charge (see cancellation policy for charges). No deposits paid will be refunded if the booking is cancelled.
Children from the ages of 0-2 years can stay for free when sharing a room with 2 paying adults. A travel cot will be required in the room and you are welcome to bring your own or the hotel can provide one at a cost of £10.00. Cots and rooms that can accommodate them are limited so please request this at the time of booking, cots are subject to availability.
Children aged 2-16 years will be charged at £10.00 per child per night when staying with 2 paying adults on our Best Flexible bed and breakfast or dinner, bed and breakfast rates where a suitable room is available, this charge covers bed and breakfast only, all other child’s meals will be charged for as taken. Availability of suitable rooms is limited and the hotel will determine whether a room is deemed suitable. Children cannot be added to bookings made on the Advance Purchase Rates.
All our room rates include full use of our leisure facilities and VAT. If you have booked on a bed and breakfast rate this also includes full English breakfast, If you have booked on a dinner, bed and breakfast rates this includes £35.00 allowance per person towards dinner in the Bridgewalk Restaurant (children’s meals are not included)
Arrival and departure
Hotel rooms are available from 3pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.
Balance of monies outstanding
The balance of all rooms will be required on check-in at the hotel. Valid credit card details will be required on check-in in order to set up hotel charge card facilities. If no card is provided cash payments will be required at the time of ordering for the duration of the stay. A guest accruing a balance of £500.00 or more will be asked to settle the outstanding amount, at the managements discretion, during their stay.
The Bridgewalk Restaurant is open Monday to Saturday from 7pm-9.30pm and is closed on Sundays, please contact reception to make a booking for the Bridgewalk Restaurant. Charlie’s bar serves food all day until 9.30pm. The bar is open until 11pm for non-residents and until 4am for residents. After 11pm no cash or credit/debit card payments will be accepted only residents with charge card facilities will be able to make purchases.
All our room rates include full use of our leisure facilities this includes, our lake level swimming pool, steam room, sauna, spa bath and gym. Please check the website or contact the leisure department for opening times (some restrictions may apply)
With the exception of trained guide and assistant dogs no dogs are allowed in either the Waterton Park building or the Walton Hall building. Dogs are not allowed on the island grounds.
We only allow our own wedding receptions to take photographs in the grounds . Anyone wishing to use the grounds for photography of any nature must contact the Hotel prior for permission and a ground hire of £800.00 will be charged.
Cancellations and Refunds
Advance Purchase Rates are non-refundable and non-transferable and full pre-payment will be forfeited if cancelled for any reason.
Best Flexible Rates can be cancelled or amended up to 12.00 noon 48 hours prior to arrival. If you have paid a £40.00 deposit at the time booking this is non-refundable and will be forfeited if the booking is cancelled. Any bookings made on the Best Flexible Rate cancelled after 12.00 noon 48 hours prior to arrival, or in the event of a non-arrival, will incur a 100% cancellation fee for the first nights stay.
All cancellations must be confirmed in writing before 12.00 noon 48 hours prior to arrival or charges may apply.
If a function that you are attending is cancelled by the client then all cancellation policies will still apply to all accommodation bookings made.
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your stay you should bring the problem or issue to the attention of the Duty Manager as soon as possible so that all reasonable efforts can be made to rectify the situation. If for any reason the issue cannot be resolved to your satisfaction you should put it in writing and send it to the Guest Relations Manager. They will fully and impartially support the investigation of your complaint with the hotel.
Any complaints that arise during your stay which have not been brought to the attention of the Duty Manager are noted and investigated but are less likely to receive the same high level of attention.
